Since I was very young I’ve always had a passion for making movies. That has stayed with me going into adulthood, and during 2012 I did a lot of research and learning about writing for film and television. I used those skills to write and direct these two short films.
Made in 2016, this film stemmed from an idea I had whilst sitting in the orchestra pit for the musical Elisabeth when the lightbulb on my music stand suddenly stopped working. I had wanted to work with these two actors that I had met at the Lion King for a while, and so I developed the idea into a little sitcom style short film.
This is a film that came from a long standing joke about making a sitcom based on our band in Australia. When I moved to Germany, I had time to actually think about what that would look like, and just for fun came up with this film as a little proof of concept. Starring the actual members of the band plus any one else we could convince to join us.
